Aviotel is a wholesaler-tour operator that has been operating since 1980, offering two distinct product lines: program catalogs and tailor-made trips. They specialize in organizing itineraries tailored to the passenger’s preferences and strive to customize the programs included in their catalogs as much as possible to meet individual needs.

With a network of suppliers worldwide, they have the capability to arrange special trips to any destination.

Needs

Aviotel, with a strong network of agents throughout the national territory, recognized the need to enhance its relationship model with agents by implementing an online B2B system. It would enable agencies to efficiently search for offers and contracts in real-time, utilizing new technologies.

Project description

The project was based on the creation of a travel management portal for travel agencies.

The portal has been developed with usability in mind, meaning that each of the travel management processes has been analyzed to maximize simplicity. Through the portal, the agency can access the central reservation system to carry out various tasks such as issuing tickets, confirming seats, making reservations, and making changes.

All the management procedures available on the portal can be carried out comprehensively, from searching and selecting to contracting trips and making online payments via a bank gateway.

Results

After completing this project, the company initiated a process of communication with the agencies, which has been highly appreciated by them.

Through the new portal, which includes an internal content management system (back office), Aviotel staff can autonomously update content, manage offers and promotions, create trips, manage catalogs, and more. This feature is crucial for a B2B portal with dynamic and ever-changing content.

According to the director of information systems at Viajes Tejedor, “The implementation of our B2B portal for agencies will optimize the time spent on travel search and management for agencies, and provide real-time updates on news, special offers, and more that we publish”.
