Mediterranean Consulting is a consulting firm founded by experienced consultants specialized in strategy, technology, organization, and quality. Its strategy is based on helping companies in their organization process and management orientation processes; in short, their business transformation. For us, our key values are professional ethics (integrity), customer orientation, interest in people (empathy), flexibility, sustainability, innovation, trust, credibility, and finally, commitment to results.

Mediterranean has a technology area for the development and implementation of open-source technological solutions adapted to the specific needs of each project. Over the years, the open-source community has evolved significantly in multiple technological areas, and nowadays, it can be said that there are open-source alternatives with proven technological solvency.

Today, the standardized use of open-source applications is clearly visible in large companies and their business environments, where it is common to find ecosystems formed by the coexistence of proprietary and open-source environments, integrated and interoperable. Among the solutions that are part of Mediterranean’s portfolio is the Alfresco document manager. This solution offers integral ECM functionality (Electronic Content Management), which includes securing, preparing, and managing documentation more quickly and efficiently. It provides a single unified repository to manage various types of content, such as documents, images, video, and audio. Additionally, it can be utilized as a shared network drive, supporting CIFS, WebDAV, IMAP, and SharePoint protocols. Fully open source and compliant with open standards, such as CMIS and JSR 168, Gartner Group, in its “Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Content Management” report, calls Alfresco a visionary in the field of document management solutions. According to Gartner, “Alfresco’s strength lies in the openness of its platform. It supports standards like CMIS and utilizes architectural approaches such as REST and web services.”
