What does a PIM do?
A key factor for the retail sector, immersed in the commercial transformation of its products, is to have all the information centralized to facilitate the integration of the digital sales channel.
The PIM solution is the link between the ERP and the e-commerce platform. On the one hand, it collects the structured information: descriptions, attributes, characteristics, and categorizations that come from the ERP. On the other hand, unstructured information such as images and associated documents are often collected from different sources.
The Lacoste Case
The Pimwave solution has been selected by Lacoste Spain to integrate with the ERP Infor M3 and the online store lacoste.es. The success of the experience allows Lacoste to have a centralized environment with all the information related to products: descriptions, attributes, images, etc. In this way, Lacoste’s e-commerce can have a wide range of information on each model automatically.
The PIM developed by Mediterranean has a high level of flexibility and adaptation, and those responsible for the solution are aware that “each company needs to have a PIM adapted to the specific needs of its daily operations”.
