Conducting a municipal organizational and technological diagnosis

case study

Palafolls City Council

The management model in the public sector is undergoing irreversible changes, which are affecting the entire public administration system, particularly at the local level, where the administration is closest to the citizens.

Administrations have transitioned from being solely regulators of basic services such as licenses and permits to becoming service providers, acknowledging the growing expectations of citizens as recipients of these services over time.

The increase in internal information management needs, coupled with the enforcement of new legal regulations such as RSAL, administrative simplification, electronic administration, and transparency, requires a comprehensive review of current processes, procedures, and the technological ecosystem supporting them. The goal is to significantly improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the municipal management model and drive forward the modernization process of the local administration in Palafolls.
