CASE STUDY

Armand Basi

Basi S.A. is a fashion company dedicated to the design, manufacturing, and distribution of textiles, with a presence on all five continents. It is one of the most prestigious fashion firms in our country.

Needs

As a measure to improve effectiveness and efficiency in the production area, the company decided to initiate a project to enhance the management of external workshops. The objective was to streamline the actions performed by the workshops more effectively, reducing time and ultimately achieving greater traceability of all operations assigned to external workshops.

Results

The project has been based on the creation of a corporate portal, which provides workshops with access to perform various operations. These include accessing the list of programs assigned to the workshop, entering manufacturing phases (specifying the manufacturing order number, reference, quantity manufactured, and defective units), and consulting the list of materials pending receipt (with the ability to view the details of pending materials by program). Additionally, the portal offers the option for workshops to request real-time planning assigned to them by Basi, S.A., receiving the complete planning in Excel format via email.

In the case of production orders, there is an internal process that collects the information entered by the workshops to automatically update the reported phase. This process is registered in the central system, which will reflect the reported information the following day.
